Here are some of the memories I captured from my October, 2008 trip to "30 Years of Terror" in Pasadena, Calif.:

This is me standing in front of the home used as the Myers house in the original "Halloween" and its first sequel, "Halloween II."  The structure is now utilized as a Real Estate office.

Here is a broader view of the home.  While it was not altered structurally since the 1978 film was taped, it was moved a short distance.

Brian Andrews, front, who played Tommy Doyle in the original "Halloween," greets fans, with Charles Cyphers, who played Sheriff Leigh Brackett in the original "Halloween" and its first sequel, in front of the original Myers house.

This is the Myers house used in Zombie's "Halloween" remake.

This is the exit of a school that a soon-to-be victim of the young Michael Myers runs out of in Zombie's "Halloween" remake.

Dick Warlock, who portrayed Michael Myers in "Halloween II," stands on the porch of the home used as the Strode residence in the original "Halloween."

This is the elementary school used in the original "Halloween." The angle this photo was shot from is also the same perspective Michael Myers had when approaching the school before briefly following Tommy Doyle.

Cyphers recites his most famous line from Halloween in the very location he said in the original "Halloween." He said, "You know, it's Halloween. I guess everyone's entitled to one good scare," to a spirited applause from fans.

This is the Wallace home from the original "Halloween." The majority of the murders took place here.  However, only the outside of this home was used in the movie.

While the exterior of this home was not used in any of the "Halloween" movies, the interior was used as the Wallace house throughout the first movie for many of the film's most memorable and suspenseful scenes.

This is the exterior of the Doyle residence in the original "Halloween." The famous scene where Jamie Lee Curtis' Laurie character is trying desperately to get in and escape an approaching Michael Myers was filmed here.

Members of the bus tour speak with tour guide Melanie Mullen near the Doyle and Wallace residences. Nearly a dozen buses transported several hundred people around Pasadena and Hollywood throughout the first day of the convention.  Tour guides, who wore orange shirts, volunteered their time.

Each morning, convention participants lined up outside the Pasadena Sheraton to gain access to the question and answer sessions and autograph sessions. Those 300 individuals who opted to get VIP passes received two extra hours of exclusive access to the movies' casts and crews.

Danielle Harris, center, was by far the most popular star there. Her line to receive a photo and autograph stretched more than an hour.

Props used in the "Halloween" remake was on display at the convention - including a picture the young Michael Myers created and several hospital and sheriff badges.

Fans lined up to get their favorite "Halloween" stars' autographs Saturday and Sunday morning.

This is the cast and crew of "Halloween II" answering fans' questions.

This is the cast of Zombie's remake of "Halloween."  Actors of this film stressed the movie was more of an update than a remake.

This was the most popular and highly attended question and answer session.  It was the cast and crew of the original "Halloween."
